Pastor Frank Jenkins Jr. was appointed as the Senior Pastor of Shining Light Church of God in Christ on February 28, 2025, officially beginning new chapter of leadership and spiritual guidance for his congregation. His journey of faith began at the young age of 13 when he accepted Christ as his Savior, an experience that laid the foundation for his lifelong commitment to ministry. At 22, after a transformative period reminiscent of the prodigal son, he felt a powerful call to serve God and dedicate his life to ministry.

In February 2013, Pastor Jenkins was ordained as an elder by Bishop Matthew Williams within the Southwestern Florida Jurisdiction. This significant milestone marked his growth in faith and leadership, affirming his role within the church community. He currently serves as the Assistant Chief Adjunct of the Southwestern Florida Jurisdictional Adjunct Corps under the esteemed leadership of Bishop Anthony Gilyard, where he actively contributes to the development and support of ministry initiatives throughout the region.

Pastor Jenkins pursued higher education at Albany State University in Albany, Georgia, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in May 2008. His academic background enriches his ministry, enabling him to connect with individuals on a profound level and understand the complexities of human behavior and relationships.
